About to install my Cali raised off-route 25 caste rock sliders with a kick out. Any tips and tricks from people that have done it before? They're the bolt on choice.

Am I going to need a jack at any point? I got a buddy helping me out and so it will be a 2 person install. Any insight is much appreciated, cheers!

I did ane person method. Used some storage totes/Amazon boxes to hold them upwards (detect the right size).
And so slide nether and start putting bolts on finger tight.
Tighten them up at the finish with a ratchet.

    No need for a jack.

You lot may have to slide the boxes around left and right every bit you squeeze in-between to bolt

  3. If you lot accept a buddy helping, information technology is pretty unproblematic. No jack needed with an extra set of hands.
  4. I used jack stands and did it myself with two cleaved legs, I was on crutches when I picked them up locally from Ft Worth. It's really not hard.

I think I should be fix and so! Today felt similar Christmas morning in a way lol. Can't wait to become started.

  6. If you have 2 people, have 1 stand up on the slider while the bolts are tightened. Sometime a bit of a twist in the rails tin can crusade torso contact and thus rattling. Guess how I know. :D

I used jack stands with my install. You could probably use anything to prop them upwardly enough to line up the holes as long as it will support the weight.

I put the slider side by side to the truck. Laid vertically in-between forepart and rear tire. Put the slider on my chest / body and with and combination of forearm knee and foot, manuevered close plenty to starting time the rear vertical bolt. Make sure that bolt is close by with affect and socket set to get and in the frontward setting.
  11. I did mine alone:

  12. How did you break both legs?
  13. I'm very special, hunting.
  14. Did it involve a tree stand up?
  15. Nah, I'm non a big tree stand up guy.

I did mine solo with 2 jacks
Fun part was drilling the optional mounts and metallic shavings in my hair
  17. Employ lock tite. If might take off afterward, blue if mostlikly permanent so ruby. Either fashion red can still have off. It may not need but whats a few dollars to get yourself some piece of listen when you lot're using them on bumpy roads that they won't come off lol. I would use red but that'due south me. Ask the @CaliRaisedLed guy if at that place is a torque spec for the bolts.
