How To Repair Stations Elite Dangeorus

What is Station Repair?

Thargoids take attacked… a station is damaged and called-for: it now needs extensive repairs to be useful again. Stations are not repaired by non-player characters (NPCs), so to rebuild stations that accept been damaged past a Thargoid attack, players must deliver a very large number of supplies to the commodities marketplace.

Refined metals, industrial appurtenances, and high-tech components brand upwards the bulk of the required items. The exact list of needed items per damaged station can be plant in your send's right panel in GalNet nether Thargoid Action Reports:

Special events will sometimes skip a step, but when a station is attacked, the normal period of events is as follows:

  • Eagle Heart detects Thargoid action in a system
    • Infestation of the organisation is seen via the presence of Non-Man Point Sources (NHSS)
  • Incursion begins if Thargoid Infestation was non beaten back by histrion commanders before the Power Play weekly tick that happens every Thursday at 0700 game time (this has earned the nickname "Thargsday")
    • 1 station burns and refugees tin can be rescued
      • Damaged stations tin be re-attacked before repairs are complete, which voids all repair work done prior to the new attack; as a result, it is not recommended to get-go repairing a station until the Incursion has been cleared
    • Anti-Xeno Conflict Zones (AXCZs) appear
    • For each week the AXCZs remain, some other station in the same system is attacked
  • One calendar week after each station was attacked it changes from Burning to Repairable
  • When all of a station'south repair requirements have been met, the list (pictured above) disappears from the station, only the station remains in the damaged state until the next weekly tick.

Commodities for Repair

You'll need three full general types of bolt for repairing a station—common commodities,  semi-rare commodities, and surface-just commodities.

Mutual commodities are commonly easily sourced with neither distance nor stockpile being a hindrance. Each unique item is produced at 20-30% of all stations in the galaxy. Some examples are indium, computer components, and water purifiers.

Semi-rare commodities are further broken down into two more than categories:

  1. Source-limited commodities are only bachelor in certain systems. This can be seen by reading the description of Emergency Power Cells which reads: "Produced by: High Tech/Refinery systems inside 30 ly of the Akhenaten system."
  2. Stock-limited commodities are ones such every bit Insulating Membranes. Although 18% of all stations in the galaxy produce them, most simply have enough to make full a small-scale ship.

Surface-simply commodities—there are just two items that are needed for repairs that come only from planetary stations.

  1. Ceramic Composites are sold at 5% of all stations in the galaxy with a stockpile of 1000-10000 tons on average.
  2. CMM Compositesouth are sold at 5% of all stations in the galaxy. The problem hither is that the average stockpile for CMMs at stations is 1 ton.

Finding Damaged Stations

In the Galaxy Map, detect the bookmarks department and enable the bookmark for repairing stations:

You'll see the repairing station icon over the systems in the galaxy map.

Determining What Is Needed

One time you've landed at a repairing station, to locate the resources needed to consummate its repairs, you access the station services page, go to the Galnet department and await at the starport status. The exact text varies from station to station, just (when present) it is ever the first particular beneath "Galnet". Information technology is updated in well-nigh real-time across all three platforms.

Here yous'll find each article and the amounts needed. These tin range from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of tons for each commodity.

You can too check the commodities required for any station in the galaxy by checking your ship's right panel and selecting GalNet. In one case in the main GalNet, choose the Thargoid Activity Written report and scroll down until yous observe the station that yous are looking for (the list is ordered alphabetically by station proper noun). The GalNet article provides the same information every bit each station's local article, merely only updates every 10-15 minutes. This tin make it seem similar deliveries are missing, but don't worry, this is just the arrangement catching up.

Send Builds

Common ships for dedicated big calibration hauling are the Type-9 Heavy and the Imperial Cutter. Yet, all commanders and ships are welcome, considering the strength of the repairing community is non in the size of their ships, only the number of people helping.

While pilots who dedicate much of their time to station repairs usually fly the "heavy" haulers, whatever commander is welcome to assistance the crusade with any ship they own. A Type-7 Transporter with 5A shields and 5A FSD can be built for around 32 million credits and hauls a respectable 278 tons. Information technology likewise makes a solid passenger liner when a player is ready to upgrade to a larger cargo ship.

Here are some considerations for the heavy haulers (go on in mind not to fly without rebuy!):

Attributes of the Type-nine Heavy

  • Affordability: 120-220 million credits
  • No superpower rank requirement
  • Poor direct-line speed
  • Acceptable lateral thrusters
  • Without shields, the Type 9 tin hold 790 tons of cargo
    • With the smallest shield generator, the Blazon ix can hold 758 tons

Attributes of the Imperial Cutter

  • High toll: 270-620 million credits
  • Requires a high superpower rank
  • Superb straight line speed makes escape much easier
  • Abysmal lateral thrusters
  • Without shields, the Cutter can agree 794 tons of cargo
    • With the smallest shield generator, the Cutter can agree 730 tons

Operation Ida

In December of 3303, the Thargoids began attacking human settlements, damaging stations in the Pleiades Nebula, a region rich in Greek Mythology. Post-obit that theme, commanders banded together nether the name Functioning Ida—after the mythological Mount Ida—and began moving the mountains of commodities required to repair damaged space stations.  Annotation: Operation Ida is not related to the player group IDA (Independent Defence Agency) and both groups very much appreciate players using the proper capitalization for each name to avert defoliation.

Request a Station for Repair

Players, preferably faction leaders, tin petition Operation Ida to repair specific stations. However, with the numerous stations spread beyond the Bubble—and sometimes further—requests will not necessarily be completed in the gild they were received.

The Ida Web-App

Born out of a desire to serve players on PC, Xbox, and Playstation, the Functioning Ida Web App connects your Borderland account to Operation Ida's Discord to provide you with hands-free, autonomous delivery logging. This allows players to track their deliveries regardless of their platform and engage in some friendly competition betwixt each other. The Ida Web-App paired with the Ida discord bot allows tracking of total deliveries, and other delivery data.

Discord

For more information, to get involved, or to enquire a question please join the Operation Ida Discord.

By joining the Discord, the Ida staff gives you all the information you lot need. You're given the commodity sources and amounts left to haul, where you lot tin can pay fines, and a place to collaborate with other players that are repairing stations too.
